Express Yourself- {Phoenix, AZ Family Photographer}

It has been almost two weeks since I captured this awesome family's photos.  I met Tiffany when we discovered that our oldest two girls were becoming bosom buddies in school last semester.  It has been so much fun to get to know them!

This is a family that loves art and when they asked me if I would be willing to take their photos down in the Downtown Phoenix Art District I was beyond thrilled!  I love families that want to go out of the box for some fun pictures.

Sometimes people think of Arizona and all they can imagine is brown desert.  While that is partly true there is also SO MUCH COLOR.....you just have to know where to find it.

Miss M here was an absolute model for the camera.  She was only too happy to smile and frankly, my camera just loved her.  Between her little best friend "Pilgrim" and my rainbow umbrella, I think we have a few winners!

Miss H is the free spirit of the family and while pictures sounded so fun to everyone else, she was fairly disenchanted by them.  Thats okay because I love to capture sweet candid moments.  Those moments that happen organically when she least expects it.  Such a busy little lady and so sure of herself.

As a photographer I am learning to see the beauty in so many places.  One look at this little ally and you wouldn't think it would be perfect, but it is.  Colorful, urban, a mix of light and dark with quite literally all the colors of the rainbow.

It has been such a delight to get to know this family a little bit and I look forward to many more years of friendship with them.  They have depth and character and their little girls are as spirited as my own.

We spent all morning walking through the city finding the perfect art on the right wall.  It really was fun.  As the sun came out and it started to get warmer, the girlies started to fade and it became more about playing than anything.  I even caught a wee smile out of Miss H!

Thanks B family for letting me take your family photos!  I LOVE the setting that you chose and pray these photos express you guys in the best way possible!
