All I Want for Christmas is You - {Denver, CO Wedding Photographer}

I had the beautiful privilege of being asked to capture this lovely couple's wedding the other day.  It was such an honor and such a special afternoon.  I've known this handsome guy my whole life and seeing him find and marry the love of his life was truly a treat.

Everything about his lovely bride was perfect.  Her exquisite white dress was accented perfectly with her bright red shoes.  Natasha and Jesse kept their wedding party intimate and everyone was having such a fun time.

I just love small mountain chapels.  The First Baptist Church of Evergreen was the fabulous location for these I Do's and it was lovely.

Jesse and Natasha exchanged personal vows.  I loved how each of them pulled out their cell phones when it was their turn.  Jesse even had vows for Natasha's sweet little girl.  Their family is so blessed.

The ceremony was such a wonderful time and I thought it so fun that we could have all of the attendees in a photo.  What a great way to commemorate such a special day.  This couple has so much support.

Jesse and Natasha, thank you for letting me capture your wedding day.  It was a beautiful day and you two are a beautiful couple.  I pray many, many, many more years of love and happiness for your sweet family.  Blessings on your marriage!

A Winter Wonderland- {Littleton, CO Family Photographer}

It has been cold without snow for the past several weeks.  It is truly bitter sweet.  Snow pictures are sometimes so glorious.  I was overjoyed when this sweet family asked me to do their pictures and the only day that worked?  The one day last week that it snowed!

PERFECTION!

Snowflakes and snuggles make for the perfect pictures.  Oh how much fun I had capturing them.

Miss J loves her Mommy and Daddy.  It really is a lovely sight to see.

The weather was only a little big frightful, but simply beautiful for capturing this wonderful family!  Thanks S for braving the cold.  I just love how these turned out!

Merry 6 Months- {Johnstown, CO Child Photographer}

I have been so blessed this year to be able to photograph many newborn babies.  I have been blessed further though to get to capture these little ones as they grow up.  The 6 month time is simply wonderful and this little guy here is my latest muse.

The holidays, tinsel, christmas trees and gifts make for the perfect backdrop to celebrate another milestone.  It truly was wonderful to spend a little bit of time with this wonderful family.

And seriously....who doesn't love a Rudolph hat?

D Family, thank you again from the bottom of my heart for letting me take your photos again.  Your family is perfect and I hope your holiday season is all things merry and bright.

A Love Story- (Littleton, CO Family Photographer}

This photo shoot has been a long time in the making.  These are my cousins and they live out of state.  Our lives our so busy, but we finally got to see each other over the Thanksgiving holiday and we took the chance to finally get their pictures.

They wanted their pictures to tell a story and more importantly, they wanted to take their little girl to the places that marked the start to their relationship.  I just love a good love story and I am blessed to get to tell you a little bit of theirs.

It all started here at Cafe Terracotta.......

well actually it started at their apartment complex when these two people discovered they were next door neighbors.  She saw him, he saw her.  It was instant.  She knew he was someone special and so she asked him out.  He said yes.

They had that first of many dates right here.....in this little corner.  It still looks the same.

They had their first kiss that night....just a little one, and knew for sure that this could be the start of something big.

They continued to see one another and shortly after that first date they had that all out passionate "You give me butterflies" kiss.........in front of one of the apartments dumpsters.  Who knew trash could be so romantic.

Its funny how relationships blossom.  The things that show us the depth of a person.

It wasn't long after this blissful start that one of her loved ones was dealt the staggering diagnosis of cancer.  She was devastated, he watched her pain and wanted nothing more than to love her.  He held her as she cried, dealt with family frustration and worry.  He carried her when she couldn't carry herself, drove her to her family and held her hand through it all.  He was her hero.

It wasn't long before he asked for her hand. He asked "Will you?" and she said, "Yes."

They married one another in front of the people that mattered most, surrounded by all of the things that they held dear, in the place that connected to her heart.  Their wedding was covered in paper cranes.  If you know them, you know that is significant.

He promised forever and she gave all of herself to him.  That was 5 years ago.  Almost 2 years ago they were blessed with this little bundle of cuteness and love.

Miss E is a perfect blend of the two of them.  That spark that blew into a flame created something so precious.  The perfect addition to their story.

I treasure good love stories.  Especially one as big as this one.  Life has dealt a lot of hard things to this family, but they have held fast to their love and to what matters most.  I love that they chose to remember, I love that they let me play a part.  Their journey has just begun.

You guys know I love you.  Always fight for each other, always remember the tiny spark that lit the fire.  Tell your story often.....its a good one, and always remember to kiss behind the dumpster!
