A Love Story- (Littleton, CO Family Photographer}

This photo shoot has been a long time in the making.  These are my cousins and they live out of state.  Our lives our so busy, but we finally got to see each other over the Thanksgiving holiday and we took the chance to finally get their pictures.

They wanted their pictures to tell a story and more importantly, they wanted to take their little girl to the places that marked the start to their relationship.  I just love a good love story and I am blessed to get to tell you a little bit of theirs.

It all started here at Cafe Terracotta.......

well actually it started at their apartment complex when these two people discovered they were next door neighbors.  She saw him, he saw her.  It was instant.  She knew he was someone special and so she asked him out.  He said yes.

They had that first of many dates right here.....in this little corner.  It still looks the same.

They had their first kiss that night....just a little one, and knew for sure that this could be the start of something big.

They continued to see one another and shortly after that first date they had that all out passionate "You give me butterflies" kiss.........in front of one of the apartments dumpsters.  Who knew trash could be so romantic.

Its funny how relationships blossom.  The things that show us the depth of a person.

It wasn't long after this blissful start that one of her loved ones was dealt the staggering diagnosis of cancer.  She was devastated, he watched her pain and wanted nothing more than to love her.  He held her as she cried, dealt with family frustration and worry.  He carried her when she couldn't carry herself, drove her to her family and held her hand through it all.  He was her hero.

It wasn't long before he asked for her hand. He asked "Will you?" and she said, "Yes."

They married one another in front of the people that mattered most, surrounded by all of the things that they held dear, in the place that connected to her heart.  Their wedding was covered in paper cranes.  If you know them, you know that is significant.

He promised forever and she gave all of herself to him.  That was 5 years ago.  Almost 2 years ago they were blessed with this little bundle of cuteness and love.

Miss E is a perfect blend of the two of them.  That spark that blew into a flame created something so precious.  The perfect addition to their story.

I treasure good love stories.  Especially one as big as this one.  Life has dealt a lot of hard things to this family, but they have held fast to their love and to what matters most.  I love that they chose to remember, I love that they let me play a part.  Their journey has just begun.

You guys know I love you.  Always fight for each other, always remember the tiny spark that lit the fire.  Tell your story often.....its a good one, and always remember to kiss behind the dumpster!
